White Stuff was established in 1985 by two college friends living the dream in the French Alps. They decided to sell t-shirts to raise funds so they could stay out there. The designs started to take off and the pair were soon making tees, sweats and fleeces. They decided to call themselves 'Boys from the White Stuff' a clever pun from the play 'Boys from the Black stuff'.

When they returned home things really took off when they opened a store in South London and from the start business was brisk. A mail order catalogue followed in 1993 and they did a roaring trade in yellow ski pants!!

The boys only made menswear until 1996 when they launched a womenswear range and before long the womenswear was more popular than mens and the clothing became known as simply 'White Stuff'.

White Stuff now has stores all over the UK and nearly 100 independent retailers like us flying the flag for a brand that stands true to its roots. We have sold White Stuff since 2005 and always have a beautiful selection of tee's, knitwear and dresses and most importantly White Stuff skirts and kaftans.
