Animal Clothing

Animal was established in 1987 by two surfers. Originally the two developed the webbing/velcro watch strap after they continuously kept loosing their own watches as they kept breaking under the extreme conditions.

This small scale production initially helped fund the pairs round the world surf trips where the two sold even more straps in places as far away Australia and Hawaii. It was not long before it came clear that the straps could not only be used for surfing but also many other extreme sports. Naturally from selling the straps came the watches themselves and from then on the company was born.

Today, Animal Clothing has grown into one of if not the biggest UK action sports brands who sponsor riders from Surfing, Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Mountain Biking & Snow Boarding. All these riders put the products you see in our stores today from eyewear to luggage to clothing, through their paces so they can ensure that it will excel in the harsh conditions in todays extreme sports.
